It has been suggested that Amazon is the platform brands should consider in the future. Amazon already controls more than 50% of the e-commerce share in the US market and there is a suggestion that consumers are starting to use the platform to research purchases as they would on Google.
Over a year ago Amazon created an influencer marketing program for high-profile influencers to create a custom storefront in which they can select products to showcase and earn a share of revenue from sales.
The program is open to select influencers across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Influencers can then leverage their audience to visit and purchase products via their custom store through a vanity URL.
As Amazon also owns Twitch, it will be interesting to see how the Amazon Influencer Program evolves.
